Amphenol and its Affiliated Companies is Hiring a Quality and Warranty Engineer Near Janesville, WI

Position Summary:Manages the organizational warranty program including but not limited to the review, evaluation, and processing of warranty claims. Position Requirements:Participate in the development and achievement of KPI's for the department relative to key Quality Operating System metrics; including gross margins, scrap, labor efficiency, safety, equipment utilization (OEE), on-time delivery, training, inventories, overtime costs, customer satisfaction, and expense spending. Establishes goals and metrics for the warranty claims function. Tracks customer requests for replacement and repair of organizational products and recommends changes to products to improve customer satisfaction. Directly handle more complex or high value claims, claims from critical customers or accounts, or out of warranty claims. Provides assistance to customers related to the return and/or the repair of products. Troubleshoots errors, diagnoses problems, and explains and initiates repairs process. Arranges for malfunctioning or defective items to be returned for testing. Uses ERP system for tracking requests, troubleshooting problems, assessing parts, documenting resolutions, or determining warranty eligibility. To ensure that all issues are understood and ICA's are in-place at SSI within 24 hours.Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.All other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, required. Electrical Engineering preferred.Experience with Problem Solving, Statistics, Continuous Improvement, and Corrective Actions, required.Automotive production experience, preferred.Experience with a quality management system and subsequent processes, preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and ERP systems, required.One (1) year of experience to be considered, required. Key Attributes:Performs under direct supervisionHandles basic issues, refers more complex issues up a level.Beginning to working level of knowledge.Receives mentoring and coaching.
