Job Title: VoIP Engineer (Residential Gateways)

Location: Dallas, TX/ Middletown, NJ

Long-Term Contract.

Job Description:

• Responsible for test planning and execution of RG (Residential Gateways) certification testing for consumer services.

• Identify key issues, open defects, work with the vendor for a resolution, validate and resolve the defects once fix is available in a labs-based environment.

• Understand and able to configure voice gateways with registrar server and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

• Able to read and analyze debug VoIP logs and open bugs with vendors .

• Provision and configure VoIP lines on RGS (Residential Gateways)

• Thorough understanding of IP based network systems and protocols

• Extensive knowledge of SIP protocol and related network components (Gateways, SBC, Proxy).

• End to End call flow testing of VoIP services which may require coordination with other teams (Domestic and International)

• Developing test scripts and plans; Perl and / or Shell scripting experience is a plus .

• Provide Lab environment test support.

• Deep understanding and debugging capabilities for SIP, RTP and WireShark traces/captures.

• Test SIP and RTP call traces and SIP call flow.

• Attend project meetings to review system and test requirements.

• Responsible for Tier 4 problem and troubleshooting/diagnosis and resolution

• Provide production and escalation support to Operations and Service teams.
