Job Summary:

As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will have 10 - 20 direct reports. You will supervise technical and non-technical laboratory personnel and manage assignments and shift schedules. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of prior experience as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Scientist. Leadership experience preferred, but not required. This position reports to our Clinical Laboratory Manager.

Hourly Wage: $37 - $45 per/hour​

Expected Tasks:

• Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies, initiates corrective action plans, and re-monitors results
• Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports, outpatient volume reports and expense logs.
• Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training and talent development of staff.
• Screen, interview and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department.
• Monitor accreditation agency licensing status and assist department director in preparing licensing and renewal paperwork (CAP, CLIA, AHCA, business license, etc.).
• Prepare annual assessment of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory compliance under the guidance of the Department Director.

Requirements:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field (Required).
• Minimum of 5 Years Experience as a Laboratory Technologist or Scientists (Required).
• MT / MLT / CLS / ASCP / AAB / AMT or MDxT License (Required).
• Florida Supervisor's Licence or Application Pending (Preferred).

Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
