AMS General Contracting LLC. is looking for an energetic, resourceful and detailed oriented person for our growing team in the Sarasota area. This is ground floor level opportunity for an intermediate level position with immediate advancement opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be the primary person responsible for the processing of all company financial data inclusive of invoices, insurances, AIAs/payment requisitions, preparing financial reports and statements, bank transaction reconciliations and general bookkeeping/accounting records. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen capable of analyzing and summarizing financial data both written and orally. This position will report directly to the company's Executive Vice President and President.

Responsibilities

• Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
• Produce and review quarterly financial reports with executive team.
• Compile, analyze and summarize financial statements.
• Assist project management with budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist 3rd Party CPA firm with Preparation of tax documents for year end reporting.

Qualifications

• Intermediate understanding of best accounting principles and practices inclusive of cost base accounting.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.
• Fluency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint, Teams, etc.), Quick Books Online and Bill.com.
• 5 years of general bookkeeping experience.
• Highly organized, detail oriented and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Financial or related field.
• Project accounting.
• Construction accounting.
