AMS Staffing is Hiring an Automation Engineer Near Saint Paul, MN
Our federal client is looking to hire an Automation Engineer at their facility in Eagan, MN. Please send your resume in WORD format should you be interested in exploring this role. The position is on a contract to basis and will pay an hourly rate of $75 - $80/HR 1099. We also offer the option of $60 - $65/HR W2, with full benefits and PTO.
Job Title: Automation Engineer
Work Environment: Hybrid Eagan, MN (2 days a week onsite)
Pay Rate: (W2) $75 - $80/HR 1099 or $60 - $65/HR W2.
Term:Long-term Contract

Referral Fee: $500 -Refer qualified colleague, friends, or family.
***Due to the required clearance with our government client, only US Citizens, Green Card and Green Card EAD holders may be considered. Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days***
Basic Qualifications:
Strong Experience of automation/orchestration using the following:, Ansible, Ansible Tower, Terraform, YAML
Fluency in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby or equivalent)
Basic understanding of modern operating systems and network technologies sufficient to automate associated processes.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
Develop and maintain accurate documentation for internal procedures and services
Ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems/tasks
Strong background in shell scripting
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
Integration of Git, in continuous deployment
Strong experience with DevOps automation tools like Docker, Ansible.
Experience with DevOps monitoring tools like Nagios, Splunk.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Creative thinking skills
Detail-oriented personality
Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team
Desired Skills:
Significant experience with networking equipment and the APIs they offer
Strong understanding of cloud networking at scale
Ability to break down complex networking concepts and present them in a concise way
