AmSurg is Hiring a Clinical Manager Near Joplin, MO

32nd Street Surgery Center is seeking a Clinical Manager. The Clinical Manager is responsible for working with the Center’s administrator to ensure compliance with all policies, standards and regulations within the Center. Responsibilities include managing the Center’s clinical services by staffing and training and development. This position will require the Clinical Manager to maintain quality patient care standards and advise medical staff and administrator in matters related to nursing services. The Clinical Manager is also responsible for developing and nurturing the clinical philosophy that compliments the Center’s goals and objectives. In addition, the Clinical Manager will be responsible for maintaining awareness of professional matters at the local, state and national levels that impact patient care services and health care management. Requires current Missouri Nursing license, in good standing, significant intra-op experience, preferably in an ASC setting and ability to work in multiple nursing roles. BSN from accredited school of nursing is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • recruit and retain quality staff to meet acuity levels of the surgery center census
  • schedule staff assignments to ensure sufficient staff is available to meet patient needs
  • in-service education, training and development for staff self-development and to maintain current certifications
  • develop, implement and administer nursing policies and procedures to ensure staff has guidelines to meet regulatory requirements
  • supervise nursing activities to verify medications are given as ordered and appropriate documentation is maintained to meet physician needs and regulatory requirements
  • coordinate communication and services among physician, staff and patients
  • with administrator, responsible for quality improvement activities and reports, review of incident reports and actions to implement study findings
  • partner with administrator to develop and manage clinical budget
  • hire, orient and train nurses and complete nurses’ annual job reviews
