About this opening:

The Quality Manager oversees and conducts quality and inspection operations in a build to print machining and fabrication environment to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and customer requirements. Maintains the company's Quality Management System and supports audits of the system by outside parties and our registrar.

Duties:

• Oversee and supervise quality processes and personnel.
• Performs and/or supervises inspections to ensure compliance with any relevant requirements.
• Performs and/or supervises the completion of First Article Inspections.
• Responsible for adequacy and completeness of inspection documentation required for specific jobs.
• Supervise and/or conduct internal audit programs supporting the Quality Management System.
• Identify, evaluate, and handle quality issues as they arise.
• Facilitate the implementation and performance of corrective action(s) as necessary.
• Maintain and update quality logs and data as required.
• Conduct routine and special analyses as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

ASG team members must have a good work ethic, be teachable, and be a good team player. Having a solutions-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn and improve, and a willingness to ask questions and seek help when needed is important. Additionally, applicants for this position:

• Must have 10 years of work experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with basic measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gage, optical comparator, and bore micrometers.
• The ability to run and program a CMM (PC-DMIS).
• Must have the ability to interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Must be proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, email, etc.).
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Desired:

Knowledge of welding standards and related quality programs.

Knowledge of statistical software (e.g. Minitab)

Other experience in closely related disciplines may also be considered.
