Amtec is Hiring an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Near Phoenix, AZ

Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking skilled A&P Mechanics to join their team. The ideal candidate will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of flight school aircraft, ensuring all work adheres to company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpret technical data including maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal regulations, particularly Title 14 parts 43 and 91.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Must possess an Airframe and Powerplant license at the time of hire.
  • Ability to obtain Inspection Authorization within three months of hire.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three consecutive years of recent GA experience as a certificated A&P.
  • Preferred experience with Piper aircraft.
  • G1000 experience is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Independent work capability with strong airworthiness decision-making skills.
  • Effective workflow management and prioritization.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of company aircraft per technical data and FAA regulations.
  • Experience with aircraft logbook entries and aircraft release for return to service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn the Talon RMS maintenance program.
