Title: Resource Planning Manager - Homebuilding Division

My client is a home builder seeking an experienced Resource Planning Manager with a background in homebuilding to oversee our global production system for the division. This pivotal role entails managing both the tactical and strategic aspects of daily schedule maintenance, production system start cadence, and construction scheduling. As a key member of the division operations leadership group, you will collaborate closely with the division leadership team to ensure the accuracy of financial forecasts and budgets. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in improving schedule templates and enhancing trade partner schedule adherence to optimize cycle time reduction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the slotting meeting, ensuring critical dates are captured, updated, and communicated effectively across all departments.
- Plan and forecast weekly starts, adhering to all guidelines and protocols.
- Manage lot release in JD Edwards and determine MICR homes in collaboration with the VP of Operations and VP of Sales & Marketing.
- Support timely permit package compilation, submissions, and approvals as required.
- Oversee all trade communications regarding centralized scheduling.
- Setup construction schedules in BuildPro and provide field support by disseminating relevant information.
- Conduct research on trade invoice inquiries and provide necessary support for trades.
- Ensure effective communication of all change orders and field EPOs with supporting documentation.
- Perform unit projections for starts in the business plan.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Background or field of study in construction or related industry.
- 5 years of experience in homebuilding.
- Demonstrated understanding of residential construction techniques and scheduling.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality or productivity.
- Familiarity with software scheduling tools.
- Proficiency in applying Lean Principles, Theory of Constraints, and Critical Chain Theory principles to projects.
- Exceptional project management skills with a focus on high-quality decision-making.
- Functional building knowledge for residential construction.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in using software scheduling tools.
