About This Role

We’re seeking a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer to support our product team. This individual will be based at our office headquarters in Madison, WI and will have the option of partial remote work.

Reporting to the VP of Product and working closely with other senior team members, this individual will be the primary architect and developer of Amulet’s mobile and web applications for both the consumer and commercial products (from initial design and ideation through go-to-market launch).

We’re seeking a candidate who can manage the entire software development lifecycle, including design, development, QA, and release. This candidate should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Perform data modeling and ensure robust data management practices, including managing Amulet’s cloud-based infrastructure
• Utilize backend technologies like Node.js or Django, mobile engineering platforms like Flutter, Swift, or Android, and front-end development using React or Vue.js
• Integrate BLE communication technology into the Amulet applications
• Lead and facilitate discussions regarding software integration with hardware manufacturers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus)
• 7 years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Nimble, focused on developing creative solutions
• Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams

Preferred Experiences and Skills:

• Knowledge of microcontroller development, such as the Arduino
• Experience in the food tech or allergy space
• Prior work with a start-up or work on lean software development teams
