Amundi US is Hiring a Senior Equity Analyst – Mid Cap Value Near Boston, MA

Description (Purpose & Objectives):

The Senior Equity Analyst will report to the Senior Portfolio Manager overseeing the mid cap team within Amundi US. The team has a research intensive and valuation focused investment discipline. The investment objective of the team is to exceed the performance of the mid cap value benchmark through a high conviction approach to investing in mid cap value stocks of primarily US companies. The candidate’s responsibility will be working on midcap value strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Works under direction of Senior Portfolio Manager managing equity assets for mid cap funds

Conduct bottom up, fundamental equity research. Supporting activities include industry analysis, company specific competitive analysis, management assessment, risk assessment and valuation

Provide appropriate fundamental investment ideas for a mid-cap value strategy and articulate investment case succinctly

Identify investable narratives and themes relevant to a mid cap value portfolio

Generate idiosyncratic investment ideas across market cycles

Communicate investment ideas through formal and informal means including morning meetings, stock picking meetings, idea generation meetings, sector reviews, email and investment intranet site

Communicate investment discipline to consultants, financial advisors and wholesalers

Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree and/or CFA designation required.
  • 10 plus years as an analyst/Portfolio Manager focused on fundamental value investing.
  • Buy side experience preferred
  • Mid cap value experience preferred

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of investing with an emphasis on value oriented securities for mid cap funds

Ability to communicate effectively

Strong analytical skills and a dedication to fundamental analysis

Demonstrated track record of identifying idiosyncratic investment ideas across different market cycles

Ability to collaborate with all members of the investment management staff and the fundamental research group.

Ability to communicate across all areas of the organization including sales, marketing, compliance, trading and operations

Generates, develop and present new investment ideas, as well as monitors current investments
