Anakeesta is Hiring a Contract administrator Near Knoxville, TN

Anakeesta / The Revel Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Contract Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of contracts, including those related to construction projects and general business operations.

This is a key role that will work closely with leadership, requiring strong contract management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to risk management.

This position will be based in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, with visits to Gatlinburg 1-2 times per week.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and review contracts / leases related to construction projects, vendor agreements, service contracts, and other business agreements.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation, including dates, change orders, amendments, warranties, guarantees, insurance and bonds.
  • Oversee contract execution, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, organizational policies, and project specifications.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, monitoring performance and resolving issues as needed.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with contracts, developing strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize opportunities.
  • Maintain project / order databases and bond / certificate of insurance records
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures, reviewing invoices, change orders, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle contract-related claims, disputes, and resolution processes, collaborating with legal counsel and relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, senior management, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on contract status, issues, resolutions and project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, law, or a related field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills are required along with attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • 5 years’ experience in contract management including but not limited to construction contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat software. Additional experience in other construction software is a plus (Procore or Netsuite).

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, and crawl
  • Must be comfortable walking various outdoor terrain, in all elements, up and down hillsides and roads
  • Must be able to stand and / or walk for long periods of time on uneven ground
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time
