Analog Devices Inc., Chelmsford Massachusetts facility is looking for Manufacturing Electro-Mechanical Assembly Associates to support our continued growth in the manufacture of high-performance microwave modules and sub-systems. Customers trust Analog Devices to deliver integrated electronics and ADI is interested in energetic and organized team players that want to deliver quality products in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
We are looking for microwave electronics assemblers with:
  • 1 to 3-years working as a Micro assembly/Mechanical assembly preferred or related experience.
  • Second shift positions available
  • All applicants must be team players highly motivated to learn the complex assembly requirements of microwave systems.
  • This is a hands-on position that requires a strong ability to work on delicate parts utilizing a microscope.
  • Communication skills and a high energy and commitment to quality products are extremely important.
  • This role includes working on continuous improvement teams along with development engineering and manufacturing.
  • All candidates will have the opportunity to be trained in soldering to IPC-610 as well as other skills using internal resources and certified outside trainers.
Requirements:
  • The Manufacturing Assembly Associate position requires a high school diploma. A diploma from a Vocational High School or Technical Diploma is a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen and able/willing to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and documentation.
  • Good computer skills
  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills
  • Security clearance is required (application will be done through ADI)
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work 8 hours under the microscope utilizing miniaturized hand tools such as tweezers and fine screwdrivers.
  • In process inspection and self-inspection.
  • Hand solder components, wires, and jumpers into the assemblies.
  • Ensure work areas are kept neat, clean, and organized per company guideline.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and blueprints for standard and complex products.
  • Assembly using a variety of tools and or equipment according to specifications/process
  • Use Loctite, epoxy, and other compounds as required by the assembly process steps
  • Handle of ESD sensitive material and equipment
  • Willing to be cross-trained and perform other related duties as required.
  • Good dexterity, eye / hand coordination.
  • Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings.
    and work instructions as well as other job activities.
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of safety practices and familiarity with OSHA standards.
  • Must maintain a very good attendance record.
  • Good hand and finger dexterity to handle die / wafers without damaging them.
