Group Description:The Precision Amplifiers Group develops next generation precision IC solutions for a broad range of industrial, instrumentation and multi markets. The Scientific Instruments end market is focused on transforming molecules into insights in applications such as food safety, air and water quality, drug discovery and development as well as genetic sciences. To support these businesses, our teams of silicon designers, verification, test, eval and product engineers create highly integrated solutions that enable innovations for a wide variety of applications.
Position:As Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing a product engineering team that drives the post-silicon phase of product development from first silicon bring-up, through correlation, characterization, qualification, release to manufacturing and throughout the life cycle of the product. The ideal candidate would have management experience along with technical experience with amplifiers, analog circuits, reliability testing, fab processes, test engineering and bench validation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage, train, mentor, and assess performance of a junior team of product engineers to achieve strategic business goals. Create opportunities and address obstacles for employee’s career growth and development.
  • Responsible for the development and function of the group as well as determining, implementing, and achieving business unit goals and metrics.
  • Integrate the activities of global cross-functional teams including Test Engineering, Applications, Design, Design Verification, Project Management, Manufacturing and Marketing teams to develop products from design through release and high-volume production.
  • Oversee qualification testing of new product and package technologies per Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) standards such as High Temp Operating Life (HTOL), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Latch-Up, Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST), Biased High Accelerated Stress Test (BHAST), Preconditioning and Solder-Heat Resistance testing, High Temp Storage, and Temperature Cycle testing reliability tests.
  • Perform rigorous characterization data analysis using statistical methodologies for silicon characterization. Monitor manufacturing (sort, assembly, test) yields versus expected yield, and implement yield improvement and cost reduction solutions in production.
  • Demonstrate solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
  • 7 years of experience as a Product Engineer or related discipline
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience with at least 5 years of experience in supervising and mentoring teams preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams spanning multiple time zones.
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of statistical analysis. Ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.
