Fast paced, growing technology and management services firm seeks a Hands On Manager of IT to oversee IT Infrastructure, and systems support. The Manager of IT will oversee 2 staff members and will grow the team as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Install devices and firewalls, and monitor performance of Azure, VMs, software and hardware
implementation controls, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of Office 365
Implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of various desktop, printers, routers, switches, and VPNs
Creation and implementation of procedures/documentation used in the support of IT infrastructure systems and services
Support proprietary software, utilizing ticket system to track bugs and fixes, and follow-through with software development team
Support engineering team by participating, in pre-release QA and testing
Create and maintain systems documentation, diagrams and IT procedures
Proactively gather system requirements and translate the requirements into a detailed design document
Installing, administering and troubleshooting an organization's security solutions
Developing and supporting organizational security standards, best practices, preventative measures and disaster recovery plans
Staying up-to-date on IT security trends and information
Recommending security enhancements to management
Support of desktop, mobile, and network security
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering preferred
7 - 10 years experience supporting an environment comprising of Azure, VMWare, Office and Exchange 365
Experience supporting the complete network including, routers, switches, VPN, and various desktops and printers.
Experience with management of enterprise backup and recovery systems.
Experience managing virtualized environments, preferably VMware 5.5 and up.
Experience with Project Management software
Experience with databases, networks, upgrading hardware and software, designing networks, laying out the infrastructure for LANs, troubleshooting network outages and user troubles and the ability to communicate clearly.
Be up-to-date on the latest security protocols for the LAN and wide area network (WAN)
