Analytical Food Laboratories, a Tentamus North America company, is seeking a dynamic Inventory and Procurement Specialist to join our Grand Prairie, Texas team!
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods while managing procurement processes and maintaining strong vendor relationships. If you're ready to make an impact and drive operational excellence, we want to hear from you!
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AS A VITAL PART OF OUR TEAM:
Under the direction of the Quality Director, you will oversee Receiving, Shipping, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Vendor relationships among but not limited to the duties below:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
• Record items in the inventory system and label appropriately; Communicate any discrepancies and ensure timely processing.
• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments accurately by generating shipping labels and documentation.
• Track shipments and resolve shipping issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular counts.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify supply needs, and create purchase orders.
• Implement control procedures and manage slow-moving stock.
• Research vendors, obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain vendor relationships.
• Collaborate on the different processes involved and develop/implement where needed
• Evaluate potential vendors and assist in audits.

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED SCHEDULE
Full-Time | Onsite at Analytical Food Laboratories- Grand Prairie, TX | Monday - Friday - 8:00 AM - 5:00PM
TO EXCEL AS THE INVENTORY AND PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
Our ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship; will have proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a laboratory or science environment; Is highly organized, strong multi-tasking abilities, and detail oriented; and will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Other qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management or purchase chain management is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory management system, and purchasing system.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
