Role description: As a Construction Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our construction projects. This position reports directly to ownership and will have a primary role in the daily transactional activities of the company, as well as providing key support to billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Your Responsibilities Will IncludeManaging accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Performing monthly close activities, including reconciling general ledger accounts.
Maintaining the company's accounting system and files.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
Proven experience with a construction company, with knowledge of construction accounting.
5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of GAAP accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work on-site in Chicago metropolitan area.
