Primary Function
This role would be for an Electrical Estimator as well as assisting with project management.
An Electrical Estimator developing estimates and bids for construction projects along with completing take-offs to gather information for bids.
The duties include but not limited to reading plans and specifications, understanding, and navigating building codes.
An estimator also reviews sites and gathers information for estimates for work on existing buildings along with designing solutions for customer's problems.
Key Responsibilities Are And Not Limited To
Develop project budgets and plans for projects and calculating the total cost of the project.
Prepare bids and cost estimates that address every part/division of a project.
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimate.
Manage of identifying the scope of work.
Track historical data from past project for conceptual estimating.
Provide estimation of labor, material and equipment needed for a project.
Re-figure cost estimates when necessary, for addendum and or changes.
Assist with day to day administration activities on project they are managing.
Project Management activities include compiling submittals, adjusting schedules, assisting with contract documents, and communication with customers.
Requirements
Government project experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent planning and time management skills.
Excellent leadership abilities.
Organizational and attention to detail
Estimating Required
In-depth understanding of electrical code, procedures, and material and project management principles.
Familiarity with quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
Good understanding of data analysis methods and KPIs
Good time-management skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Critical-thinker and problem-solver
