Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab RN
Job Summary:
The Cath Lab RN is responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Catheterization Laboratory. This role involves assisting physicians during procedures, monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and status before, during, and after procedures
- Administering medications as needed during procedures
- Documenting patient information and procedures accurately
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educating patients and their families on post-procedure care and instructions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Prior experience in a cardiac care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
