Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST-OR)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST-OR) to join our operating room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical team members. The CST-OR will be knowledgeable in sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including sterilizing equipment, ensuring adequate supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment.

2. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed.

3. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during surgeries to ensure efficient and effective procedures.

4. Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

5. Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other team members to provide optimal patient care and outcomes.

6. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the operating room before and after surgeries.

7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to prevent complications and ensure patient safety.

8. Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.

9. Provide support and assistance to other healthcare professionals as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
