Job Description

Job Title: Oncology Nurse

Job Summary:

An Oncology Nurse provides care and support to cancer patients, administering treatments, monitoring symptoms, and educating patients and their families on the disease and treatment options. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments
• Monitor patient's physical and emotional well-being
• Educate patients and families on cancer diagnosis and treatment options
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans
• Provide support and guidance to patients throughout their cancer journey
• Document patient's progress and report any changes to the healthcare team
• Assist in procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures

Qualifications and Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Certification in Oncology Nursing preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
• Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
