Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to mothers in labor, assist with deliveries, and help ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby during the birthing process.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Monitor and assess the progress of labor2. Assist with medical procedures during labor and delivery3. Provide emotional support to mothers in labor4. Educate mothers on newborn care and breastfeeding5. Document patient information and maintain accurate records6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients7. Administer medications as prescribed8. Monitor and care for newborns after deliveryQualifications and Skills:1. Valid RN license2. BSN or higher degree in Nursing3. Certification in Labor and Delivery Nursing preferred4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills7. Ability to remain calm under pressure8. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor9. Physical stamina to work long hours on your feet10. Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred11. Knowledge of current practices and procedures in Labor and Delivery12. Ability to work as part of a team13. Strong organizational skills14. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care15.
