ANCHOR PACKAGING is a growing manufacturer of disposable food service packaging located in Northeastern Arkansas is looking for a CYCLE COUNTER for our MATERIALS DEPARTMENT to work at our PARAGOULD DISTRIBUTION CENTER. *** This is a Safety Sensitive Position under the Medicinal Marijuana Provisions of the State of Arkansas.***

This position will cycle count all Raw, WIP and Finished Goods at all Anchor facilities. This position is required to operate a forklift and material handling equipment in the distribution center and/or manufacturing areas. Performs work under the direction of the Lead assigned / Materials Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Other duties may be assigned due to operational need or management discretion.

  1. Cycle counts all assigned locations with scanner. Ensure all scanned information has transmitted and will verify on a desktop computer.
  2. Will verify all cycle count percentages in Oracle after cycle count has been completed.
  3. All cycle count discrepancies will be investigated and correct.
  4. Performs all system related transactions in Oracle to ensure inventory accuracy goals.
  5. Will operate forklift / Slip sheet truck and material handling equipment to move material in warehouse or production floor in order to achieve cycle count scanning accuracy.
  6. Must be able to communicate effectively in e-mail and via phone with Lead. Will assist in training all new employees.
  7. Must be able to learn the Oracle process and ensure 100% scanning accuracy.
  8. Maintains safe and clean warehousing and manufacturing facility on a daily basis.
  9. Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on material handling equipment.
  10. Responsible to adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

  • Good knowledge of all safety procedures while operating a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of one (1) year forklift and warehouse/manufacturing experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. Forklift certification required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must have the ability and knowledge of algebra.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Incumbent needs a basic understanding of computers and printers. 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Forklift certification. A valid State driver’s license is required for forklift certification by Anchor.

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity that is. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, kneel and crouch. Employee must be able to physically lift, lower, and carry product weighing up to 55 lbs. Will regularly operate forklift, requiring some coordinated movements.

Operating a forklift or other material handling equipment is considered a “Safety Sensitive” function. A Safety-Sensitive Function, as defined by the Company, is one that requires the operation of motor vehicles, forklifts, or motorized warehouse equipment, or one that involves inspecting, servicing, conditioning, controlling, supervising, loading or unloading such machinery. Employees performing “Safety-Sensitive Functions” are prohibited from reporting to work or being on duty while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
