As a Receiving and Inventory Control Assistant (RICA) for our Residential Department, this position works closely with and takes direction from, the Foreman, Supervisors, and Department Manager. RICAs are responsible for all items received and inventoried. They understand how to receive and inventory all materials with accuracy and attention to detail. Once training is complete, all assigned duties are completed with little to no supervision. As a glass company, the items received on a daily basis are extremely heavy and require specific handling for safety. Must be willing to learn how to safely handle and lift all types of glass and glass hardware.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Assists with matching all materials to Purchase Orders and verifies accuracy, noting any missing or damaged pieces on all paperwork. All company policies are followed step by step.
• Turn in all Receiving to the office the same day they are received.
• Under the direction of Receiving Lead, all glass products are to be measured, inspected for damage, and noted according to the procedure.
• Responsible for the organization of materials and stock on hand with correct labeling and storage.
• Assists with maintaining inventory of stock items and supplies on a daily basis and assists in the counting of inventory each month.
• Helps with all areas of fabrication, if needed, including the building of shower doors, cutting of metal, mirrors, drilling, cutting, loading of trucks and etc.
• Perform tasks in accordance with company safety programs and policies.
• Maintain shop and keep assigned work area clean.
• Perform other duties as required.

ExperienceJOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous receiving experience with receiving and/or inventory is a plus.
• Previous experience working with glass is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Proven ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Demonstrate the ability to work on and solve problems independently the majority of the time.
• Have good communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Possess common-sense knowledge in the use of the products, tools, and procedures utilized in the trade.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the scope of work. Behavior and quality of work exceed standards.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and offload glass that could be up to 100 lbs.
• Able to maintain a squatting position for extended periods.
• Able to work on your feet all day.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
