Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the production and operational activities at our steel and aluminum hitch manufacturing facility. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining high quality standards, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth production processes and adherence to production schedules.
• Implement and enforce production and safety standards, procedures, and protocols to maintain high levels of efficiency and safety.

• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators to achieve production targets and quality goals.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives for direct reports.

• Quality Control and Assurance:
• Monitor product quality throughout all stages of production, implementing corrective actions as necessary to uphold quality standards and customer expectations.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to implement and maintain effective quality control measures and processes.

• Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
• Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal levels of raw materials and finished goods, minimizing waste and ensuring timely production cycles.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage supplier relationships and optimize supply chain efficiency.

• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives within the manufacturing process.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

• Health, Safety, and Compliance:
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and regulations, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting safety awareness among all employees.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience (5 years) in operations management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication or similar industries.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing process improvements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
