Andersen Material Handling is Hiring a DRIVER Near Kentwood, MI
Drives truck to transport material handling equipment to and from customer facilities as well as to other Andersen locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to communicate and interact with customers positively and professionally.
Verifies asset & serial numbers against shipping paperwork.
Drives truck to destination.
Loads and unloads all equipment (Driver will be trained to operate equipment)
Prepares documentation for shipments as necessary.
Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
Maintains telephone contact with dispatcher to confirm deliveries, pickups, or added stops.
Inspects/Maintains truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
Maintenance truck and trailer (grease, oil changes, washing)
Will be required to cross train as needed in any shop related functions.
