The Role:

As a Manager Insurance Systems Integration, you will act in several key roles that are critical to grow a world-class systems integration practice.

As a project manager you are responsible for managing client relationships: own a collaborative and trusting relationship with the client project or program manager, and develop a solid reporting relationship with client business and IT project sponsors and steering committee members. You will develop and leverage client relationships to enable collaborative problem solving and issue resolution for all project issues, will seek out any potential follow-on work to your current engagement, and will contribute to the identification of new sales opportunities across the account.

As a project delivery leader, you will lead the overall project team across all workstreams and manage the overall project to budget and schedule, but will also be involved in detailed management of immediate tasks and goals, progress against plan, issues and dependencies across the entire project. You will present status to client leadership in addition to managing a cross-functional project team consisting of Andersen Consulting, client, and 3rd party resources, both on and off shore. You will lead by example and generate high performance from the delivery team, motivating all members to go above and beyond to successfully deliver each project.

As a participant in practice building, you will participate in recruiting and interviewing new team members; grow and mentor individuals; conduct performance reviews; and participate in development of practice processes, methodologies, standards, and assets.

As a pursuit contributor, you will work closely with leadership to manage pursuit teams to plan, create proposal content, staffing plans, pricing models, and detailed delivery schedules. You will provide technical or functional/industry expertise in ongoing planning, road-mapping and high-level design conversations with potential clients. You will confidently present sections of the proposal to client decision makers, establishing Andersen Consultings industry experience in both functional and technical capabilities.

The Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree with 7 years of experience in the consulting industry and a distinctive record of professional achievement and impact.
  • Manager (or equivalent title) experience at a tier one consulting firm or manager level position in industry within an operational function.
  • Proven experience managing large complex technology projects with up to 40 member cross functional, multi-organizational teams on and off shore, owning client project manager relationships.
  • Significant experience delivering projects in the insurance industry. This includes detailed knowledge of insurance processes, integrated systems involving common 3rd party technology providers, and in-depth knowledge of one or more of the prevailing core software platforms: Guidewire, EIS, or Duck Creek. Preference for EIS experience, especially as a business analyst.
  • Exemplary leadership qualities to build, grow, and mature practices of on and off shore team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to travel based on business need up to 50%.
