Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing individual to serve as a Business Analyst in our Sacramento office. Under the supervision of a project principal or manager, Business Analysts are expected to:

• Find, compile, and synthesize data and information from publicly available sources (e.g., academic and trade journals, government agencies and websites, and corporate filings);
• Develop economic and financial models;
• Write reports and memoranda as well as build Microsoft PowerPoint presentations;
• Interact with clients such as government staff, company executives, and political candidates; and
• Work productively in team settings on sensitive issues under tight deadlines.

Business Analysts will receive ongoing hands-on training and will be given increased responsibilities and tasks commensurate to their professional growth and capabilities. This is a full time position and Business Analysts should be willing and able to commit significant time to the position (40 hours per week).

Required Qualifications:

Strong candidates will possess a solid grasp of business administration, economics, statistics, finance or related field and have experience with qualitative and quantitative research. S/he will demonstrate strong analytic and problem-solving skills necessary to formulate effective, multi-disciplinary solutions to clients’ problems. S/he will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and approaches clearly, in addition to a high attention to detail and organization. Additional qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, public policy, public administration or a related field;
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities especially when faced with new and challenging situations; and
• Demonstrated record of academic and professional achievement.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
