Hotel Front Desk - Night AuditThis Position accommodates and provides guests of the hotel with a high level of customer service while preparing a variety of reports for several departments, RDP transactions, and final postings to folios by performing the following duties. Base Pay: DOE Location: Resort Hotel Employee Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt Job Category: Seasonal Part Time Qualifications: Min Age: 18 years old Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential Typical Shift: 11pm-7am Estimated start date: Immediately Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
Instructs guests on how to get to hotel rooms and where to park.
Issues room keys.
Transmits and receives telephone messages.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, resort activities, entertainment, and travel directions.
Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
Makes walk-up reservations
Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger.
Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
Communicates with housekeeping and building maintenance to facilitate customer needs.
Prepares and provides accurate revenue reports to Lodging Director and Accounting Managers.
Verifies the nightly postings of all checked-in guest folios.
Balances all of the RDP transactions and room charges with guest folios.
Programs and verifies all guest room wake-up calls in the Lodge.
Ensures the backup of all timelox files.
Distributes nightly: Express Checkout folios
Follows proper protocol for after hour emergencies
Handles a $300 cash bank bag
Education And/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least six months related front desk experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
