The QHSE Team
Our QHSE team is playing a vital role in ensuring and promoting a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout our organization. We are committed to safeguarding the well-being of our employees, protecting the environment, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in all our operations.
What you will do
Business development
Foster strong relationships with clients, promptly addressing their needs and concerns in that region.
Identify and explore potential business development opportunities in the region.
Gather market intelligence on maritime trends and opportunities in the region.
Support ESG initiatives in the region, focusing on community engagement, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.
Maintain relations with local contacts to facilitate ship operations.
Maintain and develop positive relationships with authorities, vendors, crisis managers and other applicable maritime networks.
Represent the company in international forums, conferences, and exhibitions, promoting its interests and expanding its global network.
Engage in policy discussions and advocacy efforts with maritime industry groups and government entities to influence regulations and policies that impact the shipping industry.
Support operational requirements of the vessels in the region.
Assist the vessel concerning the operations as needed. (Cargo operations / Arrangement of stores/Crew change/Repairs etc. )
Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services in case of any crisis involving company vessels.
Visit vessels in the region for inspections/investigations/audits/training/support as needed.
Regulation Monitoring and information dissemination
Monitor and communicate changes in local regulations affecting shipping operations in the region.
Monitor PSC trends, focus areas and ensure expectations of the PSCOs are well communicated to the company.
What we are Looking For
A maritime professional with 10-15 years of relevant marine industry experience, including 3-5 years in leadership positions, demonstrating the ability to manage teams, operations, and complex projects.
Experience working in different cultural environments, especially in the relevant region.
Proficiency in English and regional language is required.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
