Angus Meats Inc. is a distinguished Spokane small business who has been providing custom cut and ground proteins to Spokane/CDA restaurants, grocers, and homes for over 52 years. This is a fast paced work environment and we are looking for a motivated and innovative individual who is striving for more than just the daily routine.

Requirements:

• Experienced meat cutter with efficient knife skills (Highly skilled professional meat cutter, meat carving, etc.)
• Willingness to learn new custom cuts and processing styles
• Able to follow verbal and written cutting specifications
• Be a team player

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to lift up to 80-lbs unassisted
• Able to withstand cold temperatures
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

The Ideal Candidate:

• Positive outlook
• Willingness to own and learn from mistakes
• Open schedule; available for overtime.
• Working knowledge of safety issues such as food-borne illnesses, cross contamination risks.
• Knowledge of USDA, HACCP procedures.
• Mechanical skills and experience with industrial-grade food preparation equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
