Animal Medical Center of Burtonsville is Hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant Near Burtonsville, MD

In Search Of:

We are seeking experienced individuals, of diverse backgrounds, who can bring unique perspectives and expertise to a collaborative team, dedicated to the highest-level medical care. Successful applicants must have at least 2 years of experience, with a working knowledge of safe low-stress handling of cats and dogs, in-person and over-the-phone communication skills, data-entry skills to maintain patient records, lab equipment operation. Most importantly, successful hires must be willing to learn.

Tangibles

  • Safe and effective handling of patients.
  • Assist in administering medications and vaccines to pets
  • Obtain stool, blood, and other body fluid samples for lab testing
  • Assist in taking X-Rays of patients
  • Prepare patients for surgery
  • Operate lab and surgical equipment
  • Assist management of appointments
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of hospital environment
  • Manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker
