Job DescriptionAt Anitian, Inc., our Security & Compliance (S&C) Engineers perform system and cloud engineering supporting our customer base, both federal and commercial. We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to help lead solving complex customer issues and recognize patterns of root causes to drive designing new solutions that improve our service. You will be bringing your experience managing on-prem and cloud systems to a team that is looking to grow themselves around supporting FedRAMP authorized Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). This is a rare opportunity for you to have a large impact through action and influence in a rapidly growing team. Your technical leadership will play a critical role in our Security and Compliance Services Organizations, which is dedicated to supporting our customers.
Successful candidates will manage and design core operational solutions and services, coach team members, and coordinate with other internal analytics and development teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a team of Security & Compliance Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Drive the implementation and maintenance of sophisticated security frameworks, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as FedRAMP, PCI, CMMC, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Provide strategic oversight in advanced security assessments of systems and applications, identifying and mitigating complex vulnerabilities through the implementation of cutting-edge controls.
  • Coordinate and lead the administration of the most advanced security tools and technologies, significantly elevating the overall security posture of the organization.
  • Manage and oversee highly sophisticated vulnerability management processes, including advanced scanning, assessment, and remediation activities.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of highly advanced scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate complex security tasks, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Apply the highest level of security principles and practices to public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), ensuring an exceptionally secure cloud environment.
  • Demonstrate an unparalleled understanding of TCP/IP networking and implement the most advanced security controls to safeguard network infrastructure.
  • Lead the administration of both Windows and Linux (RHEL) based systems at the most advanced level, ensuring their security and compliance.
  • Act as a key resource for internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance on the most advanced security best practices and compliance matters.
  • Display a strategic and visionary approach, driving the organization to adapt to cutting-edge technologies, and participate in incident response activities, including evening and/or weekend work depending on the severity of customer tickets.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • 8 years of demonstrated experience in IT/engineering, showcasing leadership and expertise in advanced cloud and system administration.
  • Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
  • Exceptional mastery of industry standards such as FedRAMP, PCI, CMMC, and HIPAA.
  • Proficiency in incident response activities, with the ability to lead and coordinate response efforts at the highest technical level.
  • Mastery in working with common enterprise security platforms such as SIEM, Vulnerability Management, and EDR solutions.
  • Expertise in writing highly advanced scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate complex tasks.
  • At least two years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) at the highest technical level.
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking and advanced administration skills in both Windows and Linux (RHEL) based systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professionalism in interfacing with customers and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to learn and adapt to cutting-edge technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security ).
  • Recognition as a thought leader in the industry, with a proven track record of strategic guidance in cybersecurity.
  • Mastery in working with advanced security tools such as Elastic, Burp, AWS Inspector, Trend Micro, and Qualys.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security principles and practices.
CompensationTeam Lead, Security Engineering ($130,000 to $145,000 plus commission). Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Our total compensation package includes the base salary, commission, competitive benefits, and stock options.
