Cherry Picker Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cherry Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment, ensuring efficient and safe handling of products. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall operations of our facility.

Duties

• Operate cherry pickers and other lift trucks to retrieve and transport products within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Accurately pick orders based on customer specifications, utilizing warehouse management systems as necessary.
• Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance according to OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in inventory management tasks, including stock replenishment and cycle counts.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating cherry pickers, forklifts, or similar heavy lifting equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines related to warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• A valid forklift operator certification is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided for qualified candidates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
