Ann Webb Skin Institute, a leader in advanced Cosmo education, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cosmetology Instructor to join our team! This position is for Night Instruction Monday-Thursday. Classes are from 4:30-9:30Pm. Instructors must arrive by 3PM, but an earlier arrival will be considered.

Students may choose from the following courses: Esthetics, Eyelash Extensions, and Cosmetology Operator. We also offer advanced training for those who are already licensed. Our goal is to empower students to take charge of their careers, excel in their field, and become a positive influence in their community.

You Will:

• Deliver engaging curriculum for our cosmetology program, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Instruct students on a variety of cosmetology theories, techniques, and treatments.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Evaluate student progress through practical exams and written assignments.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in cosmetology.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cosmetology program.

Qualifications:

• State Cosmetology License (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience with the Milady book
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a licensed cosmetologist in a clinical setting.
• Proven teaching experience in a classroom or salon environment (preferred).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Passion for skincare science and a commitment to student success.
• Ability to remain patient and positive and caring towards staff and students
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Basic computer skills. We use Google classroom, Gsuite and Mindbody.
• Certifications in any area of Cosmetology will be a plus

• Monday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

•  AWSI will provide a basic curriculum for the program, however adding and expanding onto the curriculum will be required
• Motivated to learn new things
• Able to handle minor disciplinary issues with students if needed
• strong communication and writing skills
• Plan, coordinate, and implement student learning plans
• Provide a positive and nurturing learning environment
• Review performance and identify areas of opportunity to maximize effectiveness
• Admin duties such as recording student grades
• ability to lecture and also teach practical classes
• work with product department to maintain supplies for the course
