SUMMARY: Anna Maria College seeks a Director of eSports who will provide leadership and supervision for the College’s eSports program.
Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, the Director of eSports will be responsible for:

SUMMARY: Anna Maria College seeks a Director of eSports who will provide leadership and supervision for the College’s eSports program.
Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, the Director of eSports will be responsible for:
- Recruiting qualified prospective students, developing and implementing effective training sessions and practices, and supporting students in their development.
- Meeting specified annual enrollment and participation goals by identifying, evaluating and recruiting prospective students to participate as members of the eSports team.
- Securing competition and communicating game/tournament schedules for pre-approval.
- Working with other departments as needed to help with streaming, casting, and creating/hosting tournaments, and working with marketing to manage social media presence and promotions.
- Participating in the development of the whole student, including individual well-being and life skills.
- Monitoring and ensuring the academic progress of team members.
- Fostering and maintaining a culture that demonstrates a commitment to compliance with all leagues, conferences, and institutional rules and regulations.
- Fostering and maintaining a culture that demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, as well as trust and mutual respect.
- Establishing a technology strategy and assessing ongoing technology needs for the success of the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum one year of competitive eSports coaching experience involving multiplayer online video games with team-based elements and expert knowledge.
- Experience teaching and developing gaming skills and ability; outstanding interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent administrative and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and complete tasks by established deadlines.
