The Franklin Public Schools, a Prek-12 district, is seeking a skilled and experienced special education teacher to serve as a special educator and liaison at the Annie Sullivan Middle School. The teacher will work in a model of service delivery offering academic support and co-teaching in the general education classrooms combined with specialized instruction for small groups and individuals. Students requiring assistance and support have mild to moderate disabilities. Key Duties and Responsibilities:Plan for the effective instruction and intervention for students on IEPs within and outside the general education classroom;Conduct comprehensive evaluations for initial and reevaluationsAdminister ongoing progress monitoring, strategic monitoring and benchmark systems; Schedule, prepare for, and attend Team meetings for newly referred and caseload students;Write comprehensive progress reports Develop meaningful and targeted IEPsCollaborate with general education staff with respect to appropriate accommodations and modifications;Provide ongoing positive communication with parents;Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals
