Anniston City Schools is Hiring a CNP Manager Randolph Park Near Anniston, AL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Required Work Day — 8 hours

Willingness and ability to work extra hours as required.

Supervise and instruct kitchen personnel in the safe, proper, and efficient use of all kitchen equipment.

Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Determine the quantities of each food to be prepared daily according to guidelines provided.

Assure that all students are served equally the required portions.

Prepare the food according to the approved menu using standardized recipes, and determine if the finished product is of the best quality both in flavor and in appearance before it is served.

Maintain an up-to-date perpetual inventory of specified foods.

Use food and supplies for school purposes and functions. (Unauthorized food use and/or removal from the school will be just cause for dismissal.)

Oversee the locking and unlocking of food storage as well as exterior doors and take necessary precautions to secure the food service areas. Submit orders and reports to the Central Office in a timely manner.

Submit order on a weekly or biweekly basis all necessary food and supplies to Child Nutrition Programs Coordinator. Telephone requests should be followed by written documentation. Report immediately to the Child Nutrition Program Coordinator and Principal any problem or accidents occurring in the kitchen or on the cafeteria premises.

Confer with the Child Nutrition Programs Coordinator regarding all aspects of Child Nutrition Program.

Report to the Child Nutrition Programs Coordinator any damage, spoiled or inferior quality food that is received.

Supervise the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment and the washing and sanitizing of all dishes, silverware, and utensils.

Report all maintenance needs to the Child Nutrition Programs Coordinator.

Monitor and record temperatures of food storage areas each day.

Maintain accurate food production records on a daily basis.

Attend all required state and local meetings.

Attend all meetings and workshops recommended by and/or called by the Child Nutrition Programs Coordinator.

Create a friendly atmosphere with workers and customers.

Solicit input from students and parents regarding ways to improve the feeding program at the local school.

Prepare daily a written production schedule for each employee.

Complete a daily cash reconciliation form to combine the income for cashiers.

Ability to read and follow written and oral directions, and do simple mathematics.

Ability to learn and follow prescribed preparation methods of handling food and supplies.

Ability to organize/file and retrieve information.

Ability to think logically and systematically, learn technical skills of quantity food production, use and care of equipment.

Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

Ability to organize, delegates instructs, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline employees.

Ability to move from one area to another when preparing food.

Read and interpret recipes and instructions.

Maintain inventory of food and supplies.

Maintain cooler, freezer, and storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Receive deliveries and check against purchase orders, using established procedures.

Ability to use equipment times and controls.

Ability to use ingredient-scaling equipment.

Capable of working for seven to eight hours in cold or hot and humid kitchen.

Capable of standing for long periods of time on quarry floors during food preparation using work surfaces that are 48" above the floor.

Capable of lifting 50 lbs. food cases from floor level to storage shelves, located from one to five feet from floor.

Capable of using floor-cleaning equipment to sweep, mop, and/or scrub as needed. Ability to be a safe food handler, free of diseases which may be transmitted by food.

Follow and to pass required sanitation standards and training.

Ability to empty 50-gallon trash receptacle into an eight-yard dumpster.

Ability to use trash receptacle washer.

Ability to read chemical product sheets and follow required safety procedures while using and cleaning food preparation equipment.

Ability to transfer extremely hot food pans from food preparation equipment to serving area. Ability to use food preparation equipment that dice, mix, slice, cut, chop, fry, bake, steam, braise, broil, boil and puree using required manufacturer's safety recommendations.

Ability to use six-foot step ladder for weekly cleaning of kitchen ventilation system.

Ability to disassemble, clean and reassembles food preparation and cleaning equipment.

Show politeness and good manners in dealing with others.

Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state & federal rules & regulations

Engages in professional growth & demonstrates professional ethics & leadership Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school Diploma or GED. Two (2) years' work experience in quantity food production and service is desirable. Must pass Serv Safe Course. Computer literate. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
