Position Overview: We are seeking an Assistant to help lead our accounting department and oversee all financial aspects of our operations. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the consumer packaged goods or retail industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Coordinate and oversee the annual financial audit
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA certification required
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Previous experience in the consumer packaged goods industry preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
