Huey Magoo’s Assistant Managers provide leadership to team members and ensure each guest receives a fast, accurate and positive experience. Assistant Managers oversee all cooks, cashiers, and supervisors, and act as back-up for staff, as necessary. Assistant Managers are responsible for managing systems such as training, food safety, customer/employee safety and security, cash handling and inventory management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Leads by example, creating and nurturing a positive, fun, and guest-oriented working environment.

· Maintains professionalism in personal appearance, conduct, and in the completion of duties by adhering to all of Huey Magoo’s policies and procedures and holds team members accountable for following Huey Magoo’s policies, procedures, and responsibilities.

· Provides hands-on supervision to team members to ensure full operational compliance with all established procedures, company policies, safety rules, employment laws, and regulatory guidelines.

· Recognizes opportunities to exceed guest expectations and responds to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism, displaying an energetic and empathetic attitude.

· Maintains a thorough knowledge of all menu items, prices, sales techniques, ordering procedures, and menu rollout updates according to corporate standards.

· Ensures all cash and credit card payments are collected and secured in the prescribed procedures and makes bank deposits as directed.

· Monitors food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation of to ensure that food is prepared to Huey Magoo’s standards.

· Assists in the controlling of costs by focusing on minimizing waste and keeping labor down.

· Completes daily food safety checks and assists in the maintenance of records.

· Checks delivery contents to verify product quality/quantity, and reports shortages and other issues to the GM promptly.

· Works with the GM/AGM to ensure the adequate inventory of food, equipment, and restaurant supplies.

· Assists the GM/AGM with responsibilities associated with hiring, training, conflict resolution, scheduling, work assignments, attendance tracking and performance management.

· Ensures the general cleanliness and appearance of the front and back of house.

· Maintains adequate staffing and coordinates position assignments to ensure economical use of food, timely service, and a clean facility, while understanding and enforcing Child Labor Laws.

· Assists in the direction of training and coaching of compliance with brand standards and state regulations, regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance in dining facilities.

· Assists in the direction of the rollout of new or revised training practices, with a focus on coaching shift leads and team trainers.

· Commits to developing team members at the rate they are comfortable with, and constantly improving the employee experience.

· Builds and nurtures favorable relationships with team members, brand partners, and vendors to promote a cooperative working environment.

· Keeps team members informed on all business matters pertaining to their areas of responsibility and appropriately communicates information to AGM/GM.

· Maintains strict confidentiality with information.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong leadership and people skills.

· Ability to respond to, and give feedback, with appropriate urgency and professionalism.

· Good financial management and reporting skills.

· Familiarity with restaurant management and scheduling.

· Ability to stoop and lift products and items over 40lbs.

· Ability to work standing for 8 hours.

· Ability to work days, nights, and weekends.

· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; multi-lingual is a plus.

· Must be able to work in a variety of temperature conditions, and with various chemicals and restaurant equipment.

· Must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, loud, and busy environment.

· Must be able to set targets, delegate tasks, and resolve complaints.

· Working familiarity with point-of-sales systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issue

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per hour

Shift:

• Day shift
• Morning shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
