Overview:
Another Round is Portland Maine's first board game bar & cafe. We are looking for someone to join Another Round and grow with us over the years. The right person will be passionate about our mission of growing a community through play and a shared love of all things well-crafted, whether it be an impeccably brewed beer, a beautifully roasted coffee, or an expertly designed board game.

As one of our bartenders, you will provide guests craft beers, draft cocktails, cans, and bottles of alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and gluten free options. We adhere mostly to our menu of cocktails which you can take a role in developing. Our menu creation is focused around exemplary flavors as well as efficiency as we work on creating cocktails that we can batch to serve either on tap or from a batched bottle in the freezer.

This position is meant to work in tandem with other team members, though it should be expected to be able to work solo shifts when needed.

Duties:

• Be a welcoming presence to all guests.
• Check IDs to ensure all guests are of a legal drinking age
• Being able to speak to the different qualities of our different draft offerings and steer guests towards a beverage they will love.
• Being able to take drink orders and produce drinks in a timely and orderly manner.
• Manage checking people in/out of tabs, which may include retail items and game rental periods.
• Labeling any open bottles at the end of the night
• Replacing any empty kegs as needed.
• Must able to learn how to use the espresso/coffee equipment for anyone who may want a late-night caffeinated drink.
• Clean all service equipment at the end of service and set up openers for success during their shift.

Qualifications:

At least one year working in a bar/brewery setting is required. Having experience developing cocktails and/or any time worked as a barista is preferable.

This job will require standing for long periods of time as well as carrying supplies up and down stairs at several points throughout the day. Being able to lift and carry 50 pounds will be required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
