Job Details Job Location Creation Museum - Petersburg, KY Salary Range $17.50 - $18.50 Hourly Job Category Operations Description SUMMARY : The Guest Services Accessibility Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that our guests with disabilities enjoy the best experience possible while visiting our attractions. The GSAC is an active member of the Guest Services leadership team, guiding and working alongside our Guest Services team with the goal of providing world-class service to all of our guests. The GSAC will collaborate with department leadership and members of the Accessibility Committee to remove barriers and equip staff to best serve those with disabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis
Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done
Promote and model the department vision of providing excellent service to all guests
Stay up-to-date and prepared to answer guest questions regarding Ark Encounter and Creation Museum
Seek out training and attend conferences on various disabilities
Research other ministry and attraction accessibility models
Enhance outreach to various demographics across the disability spectrum
Engage with guests regarding accessibility feedback and concerns
Prepare and lead quarterly accessibility committee meetings
Respond to guest requests for tactile tours and schedule appropriately
Enhance and update tactile experiences and partner with L&D on training for staff
Assist with Deaf outreach by serving as onsite point of contact for ASL interpreters
Build relationships with the community and network for resources
All other projects and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
2 years' experience in customer service and/or hospitality
Experience with POS systems in ticketing, retail, food service, or similar environment
Experience with disability ministry and familiarity with ADA preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
Customer service oriented, dedicated to high guest satisfaction levels
Good problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
Exceptional ability to multitask and accurately follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with guests and coworkers across all departments and levels
Attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
Strong conflict resolution skills
Excellent computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft applications
Availability to regularly work weekends, holidays, and occasional events outside of normal operating hours
Ability to travel as necessary to conferences and training
