About The RoleAnthropic is looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our People team. In this role, you’ll support a wide variety of projects focused on our People team tooling, employee data, and compliance. You will also work closely with Payroll, Legal, IT, Internal Tools, and our HRBPs to build seamless experiences for our internal customers and ensure the accuracy of our employee data and reporting. You’ll use your project management skills, domain expertise, excellent communication, and tireless commitment to process improvement to implement programs and maintain the People tools that help all Ants - what we call our employees internally - succeed.
Responsibilities
Annual SalaryThe expected salary range for this position is:
$220,000 — $275,000 USD
LogisticsLocation-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
US visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate; operations roles are especially difficult to support. But if we make you an offer, we will make every effort to get you into the United States, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

Responsibilities
- Own a variety of People team tools–including our performance management software, compliance tools, internal ticketing systems, employment verification, and many more–through their full life cycle, from identifying tooling needs through implementation and ongoing maintenance and support
- Manage People-team-related compliance measures and reporting, and keep track of our compliance obligations alongside employment counsel
- Support the People team in project management for cross-functional initiatives, such as our performance review cycle, equity administration, and more
- Leverage data to inform design and decisions on strategy, structure, and programs that promote People team productivity
- Design processes and automations to assist in scaling the People team and support all Ants
- Assist and own special projects for the People team as-needed
- Have strong working knowledge of people operations-related best practices and are able to effectively implement these while maintaining and building upon the current company culture
- Have a track record of taking on ambiguously-scoped projects and taking ownership to deliver amazing results
- Are organized and detail-oriented, with excellent professional judgment -- you will manage time-sensitive and critical processes related to compensation, performance, and compliance, and handle our employee data with the utmost care, ensuring accuracy as well as privacy
- Are customer service-oriented -- you consider internal teams as “clients” for whom you want to provide a great experience, and you take a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving
- Are an exceptional communicator, particularly in writing
- Have 8-10 years of People Operations or HR experience, ideally in a high-growth environment
- Be comfortable with HRIS systems and other People tools (performance management, ticketing, etc.), and have excellent Excel skills
