About the Role:

Anthropic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Security Technical Lead to join our company. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage the technical aspects of our global physical security systems, ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Global Buildouts: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and execute the technical aspects of physical security systems for new and existing company facilities worldwide.
  • Integrations: Lead the integration of various physical security systems, such as access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, ticketing, and alarm systems, to create a cohesive and efficient security infrastructure.
  • System Management: Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of all physical security systems, ensuring they operate at peak performance and align with company security policies and industry best practices.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay current with the latest advancements in physical security technology and conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers involved in the implementation, maintenance, and support of physical security systems.
  • Incident Response: Serve as the technical lead during security incidents, working closely with the security operations team to investigate and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure all physical security systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies, including data privacy and protection requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of physical security systems, including system architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with IT, facilities, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of physical security systems with overall company operations.

  • You are a clear and effective communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to changing priorities and emerging security threats.

Strong candidates may also:

  • Have experience working with cloud-based physical security systems and integrating them with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Possess relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM).
  • Have a background in IT or cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of network architecture, system integration, and data security principles.
  • Demonstrate leadership experience in mentoring and guiding junior technical team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Possess knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2, and have experience ensuring physical security systems adhere to these standards.
