Anveta Health Inc is Hiring a Public Health Program Manager Near Nashville, TN

Job Summary: The Public Health Program Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing Blue Zones throughout Tennessee. This position involves providing technical assistance and acting as a liaison between Tennessee communities and the Blue Zones Project staff. The role requires working closely with local health departments, health councils, and community partners to promote and establish Blue Zones, aiming to improve public health outcomes across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Blue Zones Establishment: Support the establishment of five (5) Blue Zones in Tennessee. Collaborate with local communities to implement Blue Zones Project initiatives.
  • Health Outcomes Improvement: Enhance Tennessee's health rankings by improving outcomes related to tobacco use, physical activity, food security, healthy aging, obesity, substance misuse, maternal/child health, mental health, health equity, and social and economic factors. Develop and maintain relationships to coordinate evidence-based prevention activities aimed at improving well-being.
  • Community Collaboration: Work with Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) departments and communities to promote healthy choices through coordinated efforts in built environment, policy, prevention, longevity, and chronic disease prevention. Attend required meetings, events, and trainings, representing internal and external partners.
  • Outreach and Education: Develop and deliver presentations and resources tailored for diverse groups and audiences.
  • Lead collective impact collaborations and projects focused on well-being strategies, including design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Interagency Coordination: Maintain relationships with Tennessee Executive Branch agencies (e.g., Agriculture, Children's Services, Economic and Community Development, Transportation, Education, Environment and Conservation, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Workforce, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Safety, Tourism, and Veterans Services) to support public health initiatives.
  • Funding and Quality Improvement: Identify potential funding sources to support primary prevention, collaboration, and well-being projects for internal and external partners. Lead quality improvement strategies to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Grant Management and Fiscal Oversight: Manage grants and oversee budgets for travel, supplies, and meetings to support Blue Zones initiatives.
  • Supervision: The Public Health Program Manager will be supervised by the Chronic Disease Program Director and will work within the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion section of the Division of Family Health and Wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in public health program management, community health initiatives, or a related area.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with grant management and fiscal oversight.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based prevention activities and quality improvement strategies.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
