Anyscale is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Director to play an integral part in leading technical accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. As an early member of the accounting team, you'll work directly with the Head of Finance and Accounting to own the month-end close and prepare financial statements. This will include managing account payables, account receivables, revenue accounting, cost accounting, reconcile transactions, payroll, and maintain the general ledger. You must have the ability to think at a high level about processes and procedures but not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and contribute to the company's success.

You are a dedicated team player, self-motivated, extremely organized, and detail-oriented. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prioritize projects.
As part of this role, you will:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the accounting function including the close process, financial reporting, tax and payroll
• Oversee the procure-to-pay (vendor invoices, employee reimbursement, corporate card transactions, etc.) and order-to-cash process (customer invoices)
• Analyze revenue, cost of sales, and other technical areas for proper accounting and alignment to ASC606
• Provide guidance on complex revenue related transactions or new product launches
• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, and other close areas
• Prepare supporting documents for audit and quarterly reviews
• Evaluate and document processes and implement process improvements
• Manage the year end tax filings
• Provide management monthly reporting and preparation of financials in compliance with GAAP

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience, mix of public accounting and startup experience
• Highly analytical with knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills and able to handle multiple priorities within deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have proficient knowledge of Excel
• Passion for Anyscale and the AI/ML industry
• Experience with accounting tools: NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, etc.

$220,500 - $220,500 a year
At Anyscale, we take a market-based approach to compensation. We are data-driven, transparent, and consistent. The target salary for this role is $220,500. As the market data and your performance changes over time, the target salary for this role may be adjusted.
