**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a passionate and creative Theatre Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with instructing theatre classes with children. Knowledge in readers theatre to educate and inspire students in this field of art. This is a by-contract position, not full-time or part-time.
**Duties:**
- Develop and implement a theatre curriculum that covers a range of techniques and mediums
- Instruct students on the principles of performance for all ages including readers theatre, singing, dancing, and other
- Conduct demonstrations and workshops on various activities related to the field
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for all students
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre Education or related field -OR- over 3 years of working in the field with references
- Previous experience teaching art at the K-12 level or higher education institutions. MOST PROGRAMS WILL INVOLVE K-8 for schools
- If you are more interested in teaching adults, we do offer adult programs as well
- Proficiency in tools designated for each session.
- Some knowledge of theatre history, theory, and contemporary practices
- Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
