The Elementary-school English Language Arts Teacher will provide the students a comprehensive academic experience using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland ELA curriculum. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible, 10-month teaching position.

Essential Functions

• Follows the AoB curriculum and best practices in development of daily instructional plan.
• Use varied assessment tools to perform both formative and summative assessments by demonstrating a willingness to respond to individual learning needs.
• Collaborates with grade level teachers to enhance and support instructional planning as well as collaborating with content area teachers or cross-curricular assignments.
• Communicates effectively with students, parents, and administration in all matters related school.
• Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or English or related field.
• A valid Maryland State Certification with endorsements in English or related field.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation.
• Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
