Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Pre-K (2) through 8th grade school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Music Teacher. Our teachers are responsible for planning and implementing standards-based lessons as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. This position teaches Music to grades PreK(4) - 8th grade.

Essential Functions

• Teach music to students across all grade levels, from PreK4 to 8th grade.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards and objectives.
• Foster a love for music in students through interactive and creative teaching methods.
• Collaborate with a team to facilitate school musical performances, concerts, and other music-related events.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Music Education or a related field.
• Valid MSDE teaching certification or eligibility for certification in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
• Experience teaching music to elementary and middle school students.
• Proficiency in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
