AON is looking for a Health and Benefits Sr Consultant - Private Equity. (Hybrid Opportunity) - Salt Lake City, UT

The Private Equity Benefits Consultant provides health and benefits consulting services to Private Equity Firms and their Portfolio Companies. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Health Consulting business group within Aon, in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Private Equity Health Solutions Senior Consultant, you will report directly to the Vice President.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads projects and day to day client relationships while demonstrating in-depth health and benefits knowledge, consultative skills, and practical application
  • Possesses advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities
  • Works independently and delegates work to colleagues. Ensures own work and work of junior colleagues is complete and thorough
  • Demonstrates understanding of how Aon's Private Equity clients and their portfolio companies operate within the Health & Benefits space
  • Partners with the actuarial team to prepare and deliver financial analysis
  • Partners with the broking team to prepare and deliver marketing analysis
  • Manages carrier, vendor, and external partner relationships
  • Has practical knowledge of applicable regulatory compliance and performs plan document reviews
  • Supports Private Equity Account Executive with mergers and acquisitions implementation strategy development and execution, harmonization analysis, and stand-up guidance of benefit programs post transaction closing
  • Project manages and supports activities related to all aspects of a deal lifecycle (e.g. pre-acquisition due diligence, purchase agreement structure, benefits program development, implementation, etc.)
  • Provide support with due diligence reports, white papers, insurance specifications, and presentations
  • Provide ad-hoc support to assist with conversation of due diligence targets to ongoing clients and growth opportunities
  • Looks for opportunities to expand current client relationships and engages the Account Executive as appropriate
  • Understands how H&B fits into broader benefits and Total Rewards context and the human capital management needs of our clients; links that understanding to other lines of business and other opportunities to help our clients solve their problems.

Required Experience:

  • Five plus years of experience in Health and Benefits
  • Five plus years of experience in a HR consulting firm or professional services firm
  • Two to three plus years of Mergers & Acquisitions Human Capital management
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Project management and strong analytical ability
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office is a plus

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $95K to $105K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
